If you are a nurse or doctor who would like to move to the UK or other English Speaking country to work, then passing the IELTS Test is a must. For those of you who wish to move to the UK, the GMC sets the criteria for a doctor to have an Academic IELTS score of 7 in each area and an overall score of 7.5. You can find out more information about this on the GMC website. For nurses the requirements are a band score 7 in each area and a score of 7 overall. You can check the accepted English Language test information on the NMC website.
