Sample Response 1:

My favourite food item has to be homemade pizza. The preparation begins with making the dough from scratch, combining flour, yeast, and water. After the dough has risen, it is then rolled out into a flat circle and topped with a rich tomato sauce, a variety of vegetables like bell peppers, onions and olives, and a generous layer of mozzarella cheese. It is then baked in the oven until the cheese is bubbling and the crust is crispy.

Pizza is a very common food item worldwide, and its toppings can be customized to individual preferences. In my home, making pizza is a fun family event where everyone can contribute to the preparation.

I love pizza because of its versatility. It can be a simple margherita or be loaded with all sorts of toppings. The joy of sharing a homemade pizza with my family also adds to the reasons why it is my favourite dish.

Sample Response 2:

My favourite dish is a traditional Indian food known as Biryani. This mouth-watering dish is prepared by layering partially cooked rice with spiced meat, which could be chicken, mutton, or fish, and then baking it. The aroma of the fragrant spices used, like cardamom, clove, and star anise, is simply irresistible.

Biryani is a common dish in South Asia and has gained popularity worldwide due to its rich and intricate flavours. There are numerous variations of Biryani, each region adding its unique touch.

Biryani is my favourite dish because of its delightful explosion of flavours and textures. Additionally, it reminds me of festive family gatherings, as this dish is usually prepared for special occasions.

Sample Response 3:

I am a great fan of sushi, a traditional Japanese dish. The preparation of sushi is considered an art form in Japan. It involves rolling vinegared rice, usually combined with a variety of ingredients, such as seafood, vegetables, and sometimes tropical fruits, in a sheet of dried seaweed.

Sushi has become a common dish globally, with sushi bars and restaurants popping up in many cities worldwide. However, the preparation techniques can vary significantly from the traditional method.

The reason I adore sushi is that it offers a unique combination of flavours and textures, each bite offering a little surprise. It’s not just food, it’s an experience – from the beautifully presented platter to the process of dipping it in soy sauce with a touch of wasabi.
